Professor Lawrence Sherman
Professor Sherman is the Director of the Cambridge Centre for Evidence-Based Policing and the Wolfson Professor of Criminology Emeritus at the University of Cambridge. Professor Sherman is affiliated with the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge, where he is the Director of the Police Executive Programme and a Director of the Jerry Lee Centre for Experimental Criminology.
Dr. Heather Strang
Dr.
Strang is the Director of Studies of the Cambridge Centre for
Evidence-Based Policing. She is also the Director of the Jerry Lee
Centre of Experimental Criminology, University of Cambridge, Institute
of Criminology. In 2019 she was elected to a two-year term as President
of the Academy of Experimental Criminology.
Professor Barak Ariel
Dr.
Ariel is a Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a
Lecturer in Experimental Criminology at the Institute of Criminology,
University of Cambridge.
Dr. Matt Bland
Dr.
Bland is a Lecturer in Evidence-Based Policing at the Institute of
Criminology, University of Cambridge, and a former Head of Strategic
Analysis and Principal Intelligence Analyst for Norfolk and Suffolk
Constabularies.
Professor Jerry Ratcliffe
Jerry Ratcliffe is a former British police officer, college professor, and host of the Reducing Crime podcast.
He works with police agencies around the world on crime reduction and
criminal intelligence strategy. After an ice-climbing accident ended a
decade-long career with London’s Metropolitan Police, he earned a first
class honors degree and a PhD from the University of Nottingham. He has
published over 90 research articles and nine books, including most
recently “Reducing Crime: A Companion for Police Leaders.” Ratcliffe has
been a research adviser to the FBI and the Philadelphia Police
Commissioner, an instructor for the ATF intelligence academy, and he is a
member of the FBI Law Enforcement Education and Training Council. He is
a professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University
in Philadelphia, USA.
Dr. Peter Neyroud
Dr. Neyroud is a Lecturer in Evidence-Based Policing and the Deputy Director of the M.St. Degree in Applied Criminology and Police Management (Police Executive Programme) at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge. He is a former Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police and of the then-National Policing Improvement Agency (now the College of Policing).
Dr. Sara Valdebenito
Dr. Valdebenito is a Research Associate at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge.
Dr. Justice Tankebe
Dr. Tankebe is a University Lecturer in Criminology and Director of the Ph.D. Programme at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge.
Detective Sergeant Natalie Hiltz
Detective Sergeant Hiltz works with the Peel Regional Police Service in Ontario, Canada, and is completing the M.St. Degree in Applied Criminology and Police Management (Police Executive Programme) at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge. Natalie is on the Advisory Board for Canadian Society of Evidence Based Policing.
Kent McFadzien
Kent McFadzien is a Research Manager at the Cambridge Centre for Evidence-Based Policing. He is completing a Ph.D. at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge.
